Subterranean termites typically nest underground or near the soil to maintain some connection with the soil through a series of mud tubes. Termite damage normally starts in the main structural wooden supports in the basement.
Most termite reproductives or “swarmers” begin swarming in early spring to establish new satellite colonies. Subterranean termites have several feeding sites within a 300 ft radius of the nest and use pheromone trails to communicate to other termites where these food sources are located.
Termites can be identified by finding mud tubes, termite swarmers, damaged wood or live workers. Typical conditions that are conducive to termites are moisture-related issues and wood in contact with the soil.
Treatment for Subterranean Termites
Subterranean termites can be controlled with either a termiticide soil treatment or with a termite bait system. Our highly trained technicians will recommend the right treatment for your specific situation. The chemicals that are used to control termites are extremely low-toxicity and present little risk to people and pets, but are extremely effective in eliminating termites.
We provide WDI inspections, termiticide treatments, bait station programs and pre-construction soil treatments.
ALL TERMITE TREATMENTS ARE GUARANTEED.
